LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Efficiency Design) is the green building standard of choice for Federal agencies and state and local governments nationwide. LEED® gives building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their building's performance.
What is LEED® for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance? LEED-EB:Operations and Maintenance focuses on the Operational rather than the Reconstruction of a building. It is the beginning of a continuing process for the life of an existing building.
What are the benefits of LEED-EB:Operations and Maintenace?
It helps building owners and managers solve building problems, improve building performance, and maintain and improve this performance over time. It reduces cost streams associated with building operations, reduces environmental impacts, and creates healthier and more productive employee workspaces
What are the overall costs of LEED-EB:OM® Impementation and Certification?
The costs range from $0.00 to $6.46 per square foot of floor space, with an average of $2.43 per square foot. These results are not correlated with the level of certification achieved, but the pre-LEED-EB implementation performance of the building. (Leonardo Academy White paper, 2007)
